Annual Boston Festival Has Considerable Turnout

Hundreds of people posted up on blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the impressive line-up of music artists and the beaming sun, at the Boston Art and Music Soul Festival.
The family-friendly festival took place at Franklin Park on June 22.

BAMS Fest founder Catherine Morris expressed in a past interview that she was hoping for 80-degree weather and a solid crowd, and her wish came true at this year's annual festival.

Aside from a quick 10-15 minutes of light rain drizzle, the rest of the eight-hour festival encompassed shorts and t-shirt weather, with the sun shining down on the crowd of attendees.

Board games, food trucks, and graffiti art were among the festivities in full swing. I picked up a falafel pita, and sat on my blanket enjoying the music for hours. Dozens of families showed up and were joyfully dancing around to artists such as Eric Roberson, and Aleecya.

The festival was a success for Morris and festival-goers alike, who seemed to have quite an enjoyable time eating, dancing, and singing along with local Boston artists.
